On Friday, 12.10.18 our seniors got to the bottom of the apple! There were different apple cakes, sweet apple surprises, apple snaps apple liqueur... Our senior representative Wiebke had prepared everything super, with the support of Ruth and some others from the congregation, who contributed to the celebration with their cake. Wiebke also told us some interesting things about apples, such as the fact that there are over 20,000 apple varieties worldwide and therefore an immense variety of flavours. Apples are very healthy because of their many valuable ingredients. They contain a lot of pectin, a type of dietary fibre that promotes digestion and lowers cholesterol. Altogether over 40 persons took part in the apple celebration.
